What Are Your Character Strengths?

What Are Your Character Strengths?

What are your character strengths? Are you brave or fearless? Do you have acceptance, gratitude, and humility or are you remorseful; full of guilt or shame?  Are you constantly stressed and do you present as angry or bitter?

According to motivational speaker William Hollis, “The two most powerful words in the English language are “I Am”. What you speak after “I am” is what you believe and will control your decisions and shape your life.”

What follows when you say “I Am”? When you look in the mirror who do you see staring back at you? Do you like the person you see and does the image staring back reflect who you are, or who you can truly be?  Our character strength is deeply aligned with our subconscious mind and core beliefs. To change one’s character you must first understand and be willing to change your beliefs.

According to psychologist Jeffrey Rediger, “Health and illness are much more rooted in our minds and in our hearts and how we experience ourselves in the world than our models even begin to understand.” In his book The Biology of Belief, Dr Bruce Lipton writes, “The evidence that belief exerts a powerful influence over physiology, gene expression, and behavior has led epigeneticist Cole to conclude, “To an extent that immunologist and psychologist rarely appreciate, we are the architects of our own experience.” Lipton goes on to conclude, “Your beliefs carriers more power than your reality.”

Change your beliefs, reprogram your mindset, and evolve to become

A Better You!

Additionally, “The learned behaviors and beliefs acquired from other people, such as parents, peers, and teachers, may not support the goals or desires of our conscious mind. The biggest impediments to realizing the success of which we dream are the limitations programmed into the subconscious. These limitations not only influence our behaviors, they can also play a major role in determining our physiology and health.”

Understanding our core beliefs, and being willing to do the work necessary to change or modify our beliefs at the subconscious level are the first steps to building our desired character strengths. And that process begins within. It requires reprogramming your mindset through positive self-talk, acceptance and gratitude. It requires unconditional self-love and a willingness to learn, grow and evolve.

At Self-Sovereignty we believe you have great potential, but you must be willing to do the work. The Answer Is Within You, to Build A Better You.
